Welcome to Mountain Math & Mountain Language!

Mountain Math / Language is a colorful, year-round, and reusable bulletin board. It is a review program that supplements whatever program you are using. Mountain Math / Language, in and of itself, is not a total program. It is to be used to aid in review and retention of previously taught concepts.

Mountain Math / Language are programs which are based on the concepts taught at each grade level. Each grade has a math/language board that focuses on that grade level's concepts.

Mountain Math / Language allows you to review and preview concepts on a weekly basis or more often if you prefer. Mountain Math / Language will decrease the time a teacher needs to spend on computational and language skills. A teacher can spend 10-15 minutes a day using Mountain Math / Language to keep concepts fresh.

Mountain Math / Language are flexible teaching tools; they allow teachers to incorporate them with their individual teaching styles. They can be used as a class activity, an individual activity, with partners, or in cooperative learning groups. Mountain Math / Language gives students the opportunity to communicate using math/language terminology. You will amazed at the increased mastery level of your students. More instructional time can be devoted to teaching application skills and higher order thinking skills.

Mountain Math / Language also serves as an excellent means of assessment for teachers. Teachers can readily detect problem areas and adjust the teaching process to deal with the concepts their students are having difficulty with.

Each Mountain Math / Language kit includes enough concept cards to provide adequate review throughout the year. The concept cards are printed on the highest quality card stock available. Instructions and concept sheets are also included.

After developing and using Mountain Math / Language for several years in our own classrooms, we have noticed a dramatic improvement in our students' retention skills. We think you will too!
